Protect yourself

Build your own safety plan for 2024

We have partnered with Dr Catherine Hynes to build an engaging, interactive e-learning that will keep you interested from beginning to end. This is not another webinar - this is an interactive experience that will build your personal and clinical wisdom.

Savouring the moment

Do you dwell on sessions that didn't go well? That's because we have an inherent negativity bias, Catherine explains how to counter-act it.

Watch the video above for a sneak peak of the course content and an example of resources you can access to share with clients.

This course is grounded in neuroscience and clinical practice – but you won’t learn dry theoretical frameworks. Rather, this course uses interactive content and videos to help you identify your risk profile, build an actionable Safety Plan and develop strategies that will benefit you AND your clients. Watch the video above for an example of the beautiful course content - that you can share with clients.

Give yourself permission

As therapists, we often sacrifice our own needs in the service of others. This course will help you build a safety plan, so you can navigate the risks of our work and continue to care for others.

This course is like training, supervision and self-care - all in one

If you are a trauma-therapist, new graduate or supervisor this course will help you, your clients and your supervisees:

  • Identify the key risk factors that may undermine wellbeing

  • Teach you strategies that you can practice – and teach your clients – to manage the common stressors associated with your job

  • Develop a clear action plan to safeguard wellbeing in a time of turmoil

Thank you for putting this together Catherine, it is such a helpful resource with so many drops of wisdom and practice application. I found this to be so affirming of what I am doing, and supportive of what I can continue to do to contribute to my own wellbeing in context of practice.

Thanks for making this course. We often to forget about ourselves and dont take time to reflect on what we might be experiencing day to day, week to week. I found the videos and audio’s helpful in explaining “how to”, as well as the interactive nature of the sessions which invites a different kind of attention! The emotional abuse triangle was helpful and interesting to use with myself and clients. I found the 3 skills every therapist need for trauma work helpful. Really liked the reminder of using the container and grounding for ourselves and ways to offer this resource to clients. Definitely worth the money and my time to complete this course.

Thank you Catherine, for a beautifully presented, thoughtful and highly engaging practical course. I already downloaded the free workbook and wondered would the course add anything more. It absolutely did. I binge watched the whole course in one sitting filling in the workbook as I went. This would be a perfect gift for yourself or for the brand new helping professional in your life or your loved one who has been working in this space for many years who needs to recharge and prevent burnout.

Pilot practitioners' thoughts about the course

Unlike any other self-care education.

by Rosanna, Clinical Psychologist

This course was unlike any other self-care education I had received in my 14 years practising as a psychologist. It was a process rather than a course. It prompted me to deep dive into my habits with a series of thought-provoking questions and effective experiential exercises and left me with a tangible piece of documentation to continue my reflections on a future basis. I will definitely be repeating this process for years to come.
